Lavender: limited edition print, signed and numbered by Watercolorist Jean Herzel

Nebula Purpura: Purple Haze

The most popular use for lavender is for fragrances such as perfumes, scented waters, soaps, scented bath oils, sachets, and the like. Lavender has been found to be a mild tranquilizer, which explains the calming effect and popularity of its aroma. In the painting, it is the elegant peacock that fans the lavender into the air. The air elementals relate to our connection to the mental realm. But this much revered, and easy to grow plant can also be seen as a tool for transformation.

This watercolor from the Flower Spirit Collection by Jean Herzel was inspired by dreams of the plant spirits, as are all of Jean's paintings in this series. It is available for sale as a fine art giclee print. The print measures 18" X 26" unframed. It is printed with fine pigment inks on Arches archival paper for superb longevity. The colors are vibrant and true to the original watercolor and the print will last a lifetime. The edition is limited to 100 and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

By popular request, Jean is now offering a smaller print version, created to the same archival standards as the larger ones. This print measures 11" X 15" unframed and is limited to an edition of 100. It is the perfect size to frame in a standard 16" X 20" frame, making framing affordable.
